I'm killing it with these du'as Alhamdulillah - I think my ankles are getting permanently damaged due to skipping (speed rope) too much... Please make du'a that this is not the case inshallah...

Inshallah it is not the case... May Allah SWT allow it to only be temporary and inshallah grant you a quick and complete recovery soon :)
You might want to take it easy though, inclined to agree with SMY :)

Jazakuum Allahu Kheir, I've cut down a bit but I believe the damage is happening because when I first started skipping I was doing it barefoot because I could go faster. But Alhamdulillah it is in its early stages so it's reversable inshallah.
It's the best for burning calories - for a man, if you were to skip for an hour, you will burn between 600-900 calories depending on your speed. That is more than an hour walk, an hour weight training put together. You can even push 1000+ calories of your faster and your metabolism is good. Walahi there is so much benefit from skipping too, the list is long.

Hmmm that's something I could easily do at home but I'll probably conq out after 20. I'm not over weight at all just always feel unfit wen it comes to exercise however I'm Rey energetic when it comes to work and stuff, I don get it. Confusion.

It all depends on what you're doing - different exercises are of different fitness levels - when you train for one thing it does not necessarily mean you're gonna be good at another thing. That is why you focus on something that you want to excel in and build from there inshallah. Take for example bodybuiders and resistance trainers. Bodybuiders have nice bodies etc, but tell them to do a set of 10 chin ups I can almost guarantee they will not be able to due to the fact that they are used to lifting small weights (15-30kgs on arms during bicep curls is nothing compared to 75-100kgs on arms during chin ups) while only working out one muscle group at a time. Compared to resistance trainers they basically don't concentrate on looking good, rather they seek to build strength, speed and stamina where they are able to move around and withstand heavier weights such as body weight due to the fact they are training with heavier weights (the body for example) and also probably against an external force such as resistance bands or extra weights etc and are also working out MORE than one muscle group at a time.. I do resistance training, might not have the body but I sure do have the strength, speed and stamina TabarakAllah.. I think I'll win in the long run.
So yeah.. Pickup skipping inshallah and you'll have a field day, it's fun, and very good for you.

Inshallah sound fun ;-D not do hard for him. I'll rather skipping than tread mill as my asthma gets really bad sometimes when I do heaps of running.

Inshallah khair...
I tried skipping last year since alhamdulilah you can do it easily at home and inshallah it is a good form of exercise.... The rope was too small though alhamdulilah, and my attempts were futile :) I am yet to buy another one :) But inshallah soon...
Jazakallah khair... :)
