the prophet (pbuh)

i heard that the celebration for the prophets B'day is haram because we as muslims are acting like the christians celebrating Jesus (christmas, the day of his death, easter)
Is this true?

Wa Alaikom assalam,

Celebrating the birth of the prophet is one of the controversial topics
among the scholars,
A lot of them say that the companions who the love the prophet most didn't
do it, and other scholars say its ok to celebrate and remind people about
the prophet.


And Allah knows better
