indeed new years eve is a celebration of the munaiq n kuffar....Our new year begins at the start of Muharram plus our Rasul (many blessings be on him from the Almighty) has told Muslims to not join in celebrations of the kuffar and instead of happily welcoming the new year we Muslims should contemplate on our deaths because sadly, one more year from our lives has been eliminated and so has the chance to do good deeds and we should ask Allah to fill our new year with His blessings and mercy InshAllah ul Azeem. :D
