Should schools have the right to kick students out of school, be it public or private?

What do you think?

Depends what the reason is. i personally came close of being asked to leave over a ridicules decision of not doing something. And i thought personally because of culture or you get some who want to be hero's. i see so much things said while teachers are in ther stuff room. and they shouldn't be teachers.

But Alhumdulilah i put my hope in Allah. and no problem got through it by the will of the All Mighty Creator Allah.

maybe you could add a extra answer in the poll like in between. because it does depend on what the issue is all really about.

I voted yes !

Bullies have no place in school.

My daughter was a victim of vicious attacks daily at school for 2 years before the school finally kicked this kid out. He would sit on her and punch her, he would twist her arms every day for 2 years.

At first they tried to talk to him, to his parents, counsell him ( this went on for 2 years ) but it didnt work and while they were taking their time to try to sort thru this kids anger problems by daughter lay victim.

It escualted to a stage where my 2nd daughter who had just began school was also starting to be abused by this kid as well.

I was very close to removing my kids from school, they began not wanting to go to school, they were always terrified etc.

When I was at school I saw chairs being thrown at teachers, teachers punched and kicked to the floor from high school girls

So yes I think schools have the right to kick such students out from school.

There has to be some sort of consequence for bad behavour in the schools.. suspension ( I dont believe works as it is seen as holiday for the kids, so wats the point ? )

I thought if i do put up that option no one will vote yes or no  , so let's just see which side earns mainly yes.. or mainly no, how does that sound? :D

You've got a good point there sis and.. whoahh.. what's happening in schools is quiet extreme! Which puts a question not only on school systems, but on society entirely!

Now there's two main reasons why students may get kicked out i suppose. A school will either kick a student out because of their behaviour, or because they are not academically performing well (in the case of private schools).

The second reason is totally out of the question. Considering the first reason, then ok, a students gets kicked out.. and then?

This student will what, end up in another school and do just the same? Or not end in a school at all?

Shouldn't the school rather deal with the problem, that is, the student that should be kicked out, rather than kick him or her out completely?

Then again.. how much should school be there to offer and cater for?

A kid being kicked out of school for being a bully or being abusive to a teacher is totally different to a kid being kicked out for not performing up to the schools standards.

For a kid to be kicked out of school simply because they may bring the schools ranking down is total... ( beep ) !!

Not everyone is cut out to be a top A student, not everyone is born with this ability.. thats just the way the cookie crumbles, but does that they should be punished by being kicked out of school ? I think not.

A school who thinks they need to remove students who may not be doing that well really need to take a touch look at themselves and look at where they are going wrong, not only is this bad but it is also considered as cheating !

I can see it now.... hey this kid isnt doing the best instead of helping him/her to improve on that subject ( which may take up a little bit of the teachers time ) lets just kick em out!

What on earth is this message sending to the kids... when ur not good at something u get kicked out or u can quit ! Why would kids even wanna bother then.

This action by any school could create long time damage to these kids... eduactionally & emotionally.

complained to the teachers, the prinicpal, the parents, talked to my daughter about it.. but in the end nohing was working until I stood my ground firm with the prinicpal and they removed the kid from the school. Alhumdulillah since then she has never had another problem
