Is it permisable to pray behind a man (who is not Maharam) in a house or should pray be done alone in this case?...

Wa alaikom assalam

A woman can pray behind a man thats not a mahram.
But if they are going to be in a room alone then its haram because being in a room alone not because she's praying behind a non-mahram because all the imam's that you pray behind are non-mahram.

And Allah knows better
