Carrying the Quran

I was just wondering if i am allowed to carry the Quran (in a state of wudu) with me in a handbag, and is it permissable to read quran on public transport, not facing qiblah? or do these breach the etiquettes of reading quran.

Carry the Quran in your handbag and reading it while not facing the Qiblah are both permissible.

Part of the etiquette of reading Quran though, is to face the qiblah. If however you are in a moving vechile and cannot face the Qiblah, it is fine - it is better for you to read Quran not facing the qiblah than not to read it at all.
