I was just wondering how many brothers & sisters help their parents around the home.

The way I want u to answer the poll is to click on the brother or sister option of yes and no.

This way we will be able to see which gender helps their parents the most.

Also if u wanna post why or why not... It could become a great discussion point Inshallah

^ thats quite true ;) though when a child get older, and independant they do have a choice. Thats when you'll see a difference. Some will have the sensitivity and charitable natures to not allow theyre parents to touch a thing, others will be completely neglectful (and ofcourse there is always those in between).

As soon as my bros got older, they all got busy with their 'own jobs' that chores was just something that never applied to them any longer. not fair <_< itd be gr8 if they did their bit

My cousins actually help their mother out.. (theyre two boys), first they used to get bribed by money but not anymore. hehe

Come on, Brothers! I'm sure you can set a better example than the Sisters!

I think a lot of us are trained to help around the house from since we were babies lol

But! yes the but, is that in some households (like mine lol), more emphasis is paid on the fems of the house to do all the chores and stuff, simply coz we don't want to see the males doing it. Dont ask me why exactly!!! But yes, when push comes to shove the males do pitch in.

Like for example you would never ever find my bros doing the washing, or ironing for that matter....or the vacuuming....or the sweeping....or the mopping....dishes yes! occasionally lol!

Oh yes, one thing they have to do is take out the trash, the worst of all jobs hehe

But were all happy with that arrangement, so its all sweet:)

I am really suprised at the results...

So far we have had only one brother who has been game enough to answer. Come on brothers dont let the typical stereotype of boys win over here.

The majority of answers has been from sisters ( no suprise there )

ps. Yes there is a reason behind this thread which inshallah we will start to cover once some more peeps reply & vote

The poll is gravitated perhaps, towards 100% yes or no. Dont think theres anyone out there who is Muslim, on this forum and does NOTHING to help out. Surely..

Hehe, yeah I do. Well at least I hope so... =P My rough, dry hands are testimony to the fact that I'm delegated to do all the washing in my house (though I encourage my younger brothers to do their own if they don't want to do the whole household's!)
