i thought of maing a new and exciting quiz a lillte bit trcky and sometimes might need some reaseach! :) this is how the quiz will work:
a description is put in of a muslim (below will be explained)
wen answered the answere waits 2 days for the questioner to reply back
if the answer is corect then only the person that answered can put in a new question
if the answer is incorrect anyonee can put in a new question (including the person that answered wrong)

he lived for many years and never gave up
his people bellived in idols and prayed to their statues he tried in every way t o tell them about islam he told dem secertly and and he told them publicly but all his calls were not listened to and his ppl covered them selves woth their clothes so that they wont hear wat he said BUT he never gave up until he made du'a against them so allah istajaba (accepted his du'a) and told him to build a ship he was mocked at they teased him and said : you are builind a ship in the desert? and went off laughing
he knew that allah was with him
allah orded him to take from every animal 2 a male and a female and to get the believers and put them in the ship
then allah subhanahuwatala sent rain and rain and rain dat flooded the world and he and his ppl were safe in the ship .............................
this story is very long but can does anyone kow who im talking about i think u do? its an easy one

he was informed about muhammad (SAW) by a monk on a business trip

he returned to makkah and found out wat the monk meant muhammad had announced his prophet hood

he found that abu bakr became muslim and so said that these 2 people could never agree 2 the wrong

he visited the prophet with the sahaadah

he was a muhajar ( travelled from makkah to madinah because he was being tortured)

mentioned by the prophet that he was generosity and goodness

one night he couldnt sleep because he was worried because he was 2 rich so he gave it outbefore midnight

he supported the prophet on uhud when he broke his tooth he fought with his right and held muhammad (SAW) with his left. Abu Bakr reports that there were over 70 wounds on his body that very day

In regards to brother Sayfallah's competition's question, majority of the schaolars say the 5th rightly guided caliph was Omar bin Abdul Aziz. Also at his time there was no poverty and subhan Allah this was also one of the minor signs of the hour. (A time where noone will be in need of zakat).

WHO AM I....

As a young teenager i came from a very wealthy family and was known to be amongst the most handsome in my town. Iwas very pampered at a young age and despite my mothers efforts, i decided to leave that life for the sake of Allah and his prophet and thus was outlawed by my family. Travelling with the prophet pbuh, i also became known as the first envoy of Islam. My love for the prophet was exceepingly high. In the battle of Uhud, when the enemy was advancing, i feared that the prophet pbuh would get hurt, so i tried every effort to protect my beloved teacher. I held the flag with one hand until it was chopped off. The i held the flag with the other hand and that was also chopped off so i held it with the upper parts of my arms after which i was killed and martyred. The prophet pbuh cried over man martys on the day of Uhud, but not as much as he cried for me, where he said "from the believers are men" Minal mu'mineena rijaal

Hamdulillah.. Ok my turn to ask inshallah :) I'll start with the usual six letter question;

WHO AM I???

Whilst at a young age, the believers under the leadership of the prophet Muhammad pbuh set out on jihad. Envying my fellow believers i wanted to go out to jihad so i grabbed my sword which was almost my whole height and set out in pursuit. The prophet Muhammad pbuh with all wisdom, declined me saying that i was too young. This upsetted me and i struck my sword into the ground as a sign of my anger and went back home to my mother.

My mother seen how was upset but told me not to worry as perhaps Allah may use me for something else. This encouraged me to learn the quran and so i did exactly that. I became very well versed and knowledgeable in the quran and was known among mekkah and medina that this was so. Of course in all quran matters the prophet muhammad was most knowledgeable, but many of the companions came upto me to ask questions as they knew i was very knowledgeable in the quran and arabic.

The prophet Muhammad noticed my excellence in arabic and advised me to learn the language of the persians so i did so. I became very knowledgable in that so i studied the language of the romans also and also became very versed in that language.

I became the translator for the prophet pbuh and always accompanied him in da'wah expeditions when preaching to non-arabs.

In the last year of the blessed prophet's life, pbuh, the holy quan was revised twice wih the angel jibril. One of the times that it was revised, i was present.

Years after the death of the prophet, pbuh, there was a battle in which many of the memorisers of the quran were martyred. The companions realised that the quran could be lost and decided that it should be compiled together so that it wont be lost. Indeed Allah SWT protects his book the quran.

They did not know who to call upon to authenticate the quran that was going to be distributed to all the tribes so they called upon me as i was present at the time it was being revised. That day for me was the hardest day in my life.

I am no other then ???

.....He is a very common hadith narrator, in speeches and lectures, in Friday khutbahs and seminars, in the books of hadith and sirah, fiqh and ibadah, his name is mentioned in this fashion: "On the authority of [his name], may God be pleased with him who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said... ".

.....Next to him comes the names of such companions as Abdullah the son of Umar, Anas the son of Malik, Umm al-Mumininin Aishah, Jabir ibn Abdullah and Abu Said al-Khudri all of whom transmitted over a thousand sayings of the Prophet.

.....He had free time at his disposal. Unlike many of the Muhajirin he did not busy himself' in the market-places, with buying and selling. Unlike many of the Ansar, he had no land to cultivate nor crops to tend. He stayed with the Prophet in Madinah and went with him on journeys and expeditions.

.....Many companions were amazed at the number of hadith he had memorized and often questioned him on when he had heard a certain hadith and under what circumstances.

.....Much of his time would be spent in spiritual exercises and devotion to God. Qiyam al-Layl staying up for the night in prayer and devotion - was a regular practice of his family including his wife and his daughter. He would stay up for a third of the night, his wife for another third and his daughter for a third. In this way, in his house, no hour of the night would pass without ibadah, dhikr and Salat.

.....Muslims owe a debt of gratitude to him for helping to preserve and transmit the valuable legacy of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.

.....He died in the year 59 AH when he was seventy-eight years old.

.....After asked to be a governor for the second time during the Caliphate of Umar (r.a), he declined the offer, saying: "...I fear to judge without knowledge and speak without wisdom."

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatUllah. I hope and pray that everyone is well inshaAllah. Can you guess the real name of this great sahabiyyah (RA)?
This great sahabiyyah (RA) was amongst those fortunate companions who were given the glad tidings of Paradise. She was amongst the fourteen hundred of the Tree of bai’t Ridhwan. Reported in Sahih Muslim is the following Hadith: “No one among them, who swore allegiance under the tree, will go to Jahannam.”
She became known by her sons name as Umm Munthir (RA). Umm Munthir (RA) was a notable daughter of the Banu Najjaar tribe. Her brother was amongst those who participated in the Battle of Badr. She (RA) was a member of the congregation, in which Allah revealed the ayah to change the direction of the Qiblah. She was also a distant aunt of the Prophet SAWS, and was often visited by him SAWS.
Umm Munthir (RA) was a great lady who accepted Islam on the invitation of Mus’ab ibn ‘Umair (RA). She also had two sisters who accepted Islam and allegiance in the presence of the Prophet SAWS. Her father and husband shared the same first name. yet she became known by her sons name as the Mother of Munthir.
Her acts of goodness lead both Allah and the Prophet SAWS to be well pleased with her. She left this world with many good deeds on the record and helped a disbeliever into coming to Islam.

The city He lived in was filled with evil. The residents waylaid, robbed and killed travelers. The unwholesome reputation of the people of the city spread throughout the land.

Apart from his family no one in the city listened to the call of Islam and all were disbelievers. And even in his own household, not all the members believed, even his wife was a disbeliever.

By Allahs decree his City would perish, a storm of stones rained on the city. Everyone and everything was destroyed, including his wife.

Allah (swt) declared:

"So we saved him and his family, all, except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. Then afterward We destroyed the others. We rained on them a rain of torment. How evil was the rain of those who had been warned. Verily, in this is indeed a sign yet most of them are not believers. Verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All Mighty, the Most Merciful.
