Dear brothers and sisters in Islam.

You accpet him as a great sheik, but do u know what he said about the four scholars SHAFAIY, HANAFY, HANBALI and MAALIK???

HE SAID: through them behind your back!!!!

BE aware of such people and their comments and not to be fooled by his charisma and intellectual vocabulary!!!

while someone is giving a speech or a lecture u must listen to the whole thing to understand wat he is trying to say IF the shiekh did say so^ then what was he trying to explaing was he saying some1 said that was he refering to the prophet and saying the prophet(saw) said this so throw them behind ur back cuz the prophet said this OR WAT

u must not just take words u must see from where the words are cuming and what he is trying to explain

and yes walhdulilah he is a very great sheikh to wat i see and after being to some of his lectures and watching his tapes mashallah he follows the sunnah very well

Khalid Yasin once in a lecture at lakemba mosque he said that we are all children of God metaphorically. !!! That is agianst Islam, Second he said Allah is above the heavens and above the throne, that alone tells me that the belief hes on is the belief of the jews and christians, I know you might think this is hard brothers and sisters, but thats the facts. Christians and jews think that God is above in the heavens. I give them this question. Allah existed before the heavens. YES!! Ofcourse you all agree you cant deny that. Then Allah created the heavens. YES! Of course. Then I conclude by saying Allah doesnt need the heavens. So why say hes in the heavens!! It doesnt make sense!! ask yourself that question. ISLAM is simple and thats the aqeedah of the Prophet Peace be upon him. It must be spoken!! Proof is there its recorded. everthing nowadays is recorded!

Assalam alaikum..

First of all, may Allah guide u to the straight path bro/sis.

Allah [swt] says himself that he rose over the throne [in a way that suits his majest]. SubhanAllah. And when u speak about such a big "belief" of urs, can u plz provide some proof.

“Allaah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. Then He rose over (Istawaa) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). You (mankind) have none, besides Him, as a Wali (protector or helper) or an intercessor. Will you not then remember (or receive admonition)?”

[al-Sajdah 32:4]

“Surely, your Lord is Allaah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawaa) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all things [Yoonus 10:3]

“He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawaa) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be [al-Hadeed 57:4]

ALhumdulillah we are on the straight path!!!
You should be saying May Allah keep you steadfast on the straight path.

That dua you said is usually mentioned to the non muslim, Allah yahdeeeka.

secondly. You given me proof from the Quran in ENGLISH!! SInce when do we take the Quranic Proof in English?

Let me ask you a question if you think you know what you are talkin about.

Do you know what the word ROSE mean!!
Do you know what the word ISTIWA means in Arabic first before you say its rose?
DO you really think Yusuf Ali's Translation of the Quran is authentic? NO
Brother before you claim anything revise what your saying here, and think about what you are implying to Allah.
Yusuf ALi translated as Rose.
Imam Shafaiy, Hanbali, Maaliky, Hanbal, translate the meaning of the verse as in Subjugated and protected the throne from falling down otherwise it would have ruined the heavens and the earths?

Did you know the throne is the biggest creation?
Did you know that there are 4 angels carrying the throne?
Did you know that 8 angels will carry the throne on day of judgment?
Did you know the throne is the ceiling of Paradise?
Did you know that ISTIWA has 15 meanings in Arabic?
Did you know that you cant translate the Arabic contents word for word because its too diverse in meaning?

Did you know that Yusuf Ali isnt a scholar?
Did you know that Allah existed before the throne?
DId you know that Allah created the throne as a sign of power and not as a place to reside in?
Did you know that Imam ALi bin Abi taleb said the above words?
Did you know that Imam Shafaiy said " Whoever says Allah rose or established himslef on the throne is a blasphemer" in his book called RAJM ALMO^TADY WA NAJM ALMOHTADY"?

I can go on and on and on. ANd the reason why it has come to my attention to speak this way, is because you simply dont wake up and listen to what your saying.

I have repeated this matter over n over n over with all the proof in the world, and then later some1 replies and gives me this lame poor translation that Yusuf Ali said Allah rose over the throne!!!
that is absolute nonsense.

So before you reply with this same old translation think and revise your answer because what your implementing here is the belief of the Jews and the christians, Because it is in their books (genesis) that it says that God created the heavens and earths in 6 days and then rested.
SO whats the difference by you saying He rose!!!

thirdly, for you to take the meaning of He rose over the throne in a manner that suits him. Your implying here that He Allah has some sought of form that we cant imagine!! and thats contradictory to the Ayah in Surat Ashura verse 11. nothing resembles Allah. Allah doesnt resemble any form that we cant imagine.

Did you know that a group of Jews came up to Ali and asked him these questions.
Where is Allah? So he said to them, The One who created the where, meaning places and the six directions, so therefore the places and directions are not associated to Allah.
SO they said How is Allah? He answered The One who created the How, meaning, shapes, sizes, masses, cannot be associated to Allah.

And your giving me a lousy mistranslation in ENGLISH! from the Quran.

Get your facts right. And if any other person is going to bring up the same topic bout Allah sitting on throne, or rose. I will consider them rejected!!

Salaamu alaykum

May Allah guide you!!

Subhannallah I just saw the link. Brother and sisters, that link thats shown there is a propaganda of the wahabi belief system, who are only around 2 million around the world considering the muslim sunnah jamaa^ah who are around 1.5 billion. Aouthou billah.

On that page it says that
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said which means: “You are the Most High and there is nothing above You…” meaning nothings above you, means not even a place or direction is above.

But that doesnt mean Allah is on the throne.
Did you know that Above the throne there is a place: THe guarded tablet is above.

I rest my case.

I cant write anymore since nothing gets through to you guys.

All i can say May Allah guide you!!

Mujahida I have some piece of advise here for you, you may want to lock this subject , but that will only mean you reject to continue talking about this matter.

Itaqil Lah inti. Whenever we take from the scholars it means we are taking from the Prophet and the Quran, It sounds like you dont think what the scholars say is important to you. There are three types of sources we use in Islam.
1. QUran
2. Hadith
3. Scholars

So after all I mentioned in my reply to the other fellow you decided to write back those lousy comments, It seems you have run out of answers. Because what I am saying is correct because thats what the 4 scholars taught. Go back and anyone else who wishes to read my reply. Then come back to me with your replies.

SubhanAllah
18-07-05, 10:39 AM
b] It seems you have run out of answers. Because what I am saying is correct because thats what the 4 scholars taught. [/b].

No it is not that we have ran out of answers, it is because our knowledge is limited, AND if u wanna know the age group in which u are trying to brain-wash in this forum, we are young teens aging from about 13-14 to about 18+.

The majority of the ppl posting on this forum are youngsters who are trying to learn about the deen step by step, and we don't need someone like u comming in here and claiming that your answer is right and everyone elses is useless.

Im sure none of us here are gonna change our mind just because someone from behind a computer screen is throwing in their beliefs.
So ur better off to go and debate with someone else who has time to debate.

Like I said we are here to learn the deen step by step and not just jump to conclusion.

Assalam alaykum

Well my dear muslim friend, now that you mentioned that we are dealing with youngsters of the age of 13 and 14's. Its best to conclude that taking your knowledge of Islam certainly isnt from the internet. Some advise for everyone on this forum. This is not a forum where you gain your knowledge of Islam. You young ones, out there if you are thirsty for the knowledge, thats really good, but go about in getting it the correct way. Like taking through (attalaqy) meaning taking the knowledge from another person and so on all the way back to the Prophet Peace be upon Him.

Sobhana lah, you two points contradict one another, because you can also take knowledge from another person through the internet.

...not a forum where you gain your knowledge of Islam

Then why are you here if the internet - particularly forums -arn't the place to exhange or gain knowledge?

as if you're telling us, don't take my knowledge because i'm placing it on the internet!

Asalamu alykum to all,

The discussions on this topic are not productive and are causing problems. I think the best way to end it is to say that once a man in a masjid asked imam Malik how did Allah rise over the throne. He repllied more or less, by saying that the rising (istiwa) of Allah is a part of belief and the question on how, is a bid'a (innovation) and made the man leave the masjid. Imam Malik didn't go into details about it and relised that the man wanted to cause fitnah. let us not become like this man.

What we belief is that nothing can be compared to Allah. Once we start getting into details we become like that man and we lose the bigger picture.

leave these discussions for the scholars. I dont think anybody on this forum with the exeption of sheikh shady has enough knowledge to talk about the issue. so lets keep it at that and I hope we can talk about the bigger issues facing Muslims.

Dear Young teens

Khalid Yaseen says Allah is above the throne. I will give you an intelectual proof that Allah exists without a place.

"The intellectual proof that Allah exists without a place lies in the fact that the one who is in a place would have an area, and the one who has an area is in need of it, and the one who needs others is not God. Moreover, as the mind determines that Allah existed without a place before creating places, the mind determines that after Allah created the places He still exists without a place."

26-07-05, 02:36 PM
I follow all these well known scholars from the past, not your so called scholars of today who say Allah sits on the throne. Aouthoo billah!!!!

Imam Ja^far as-Sadiq said: "He who claims that Allah is in something or on something or from something, commits ash-shirk. Because if He was in something, He would be contained, and if He was on something, He would be carried, and if He was from something, He would be a creature."

Shaykh ^Abdul-Ghaniyy an-Nabulsiyy said: "He who believes that Allah fills the heavens and earth or that He is a body sitting above al-^arsh (ceiling of Paradise; throne) is a kafir."

Imam Abul-Qasim ^Aliyy Ibnul-Hasan Ibn Hibatillah Ibn ^Asakir said in his ^Aqidah: "Allah existed before the creation. He does not have a before or an after, an above or a below, a right or a left, an in front of or a behind, a whole or a part. It must not be said when was He, where was He, or how was He. He exists without a place."

Imam Abu Sulayman al-Khattabiyy said: "What is obligatory upon us and upon every Muslim to know is that our Lord has no shape or form, because the shape has a 'how' and 'how' does not apply to Allah or His Attributes."

I follow the ashariiy way on imam shafaiy if you know who they are.

I dont think you really know what we believe for you to make such a generalised comment. I personally follow the aqeedah of Imam Tahawi, a great Hanafi scholar whos Aqeedah is accepted by Ahlul Sunnah wa Jamma'a.

I actually would have liked to send you a personal email to write this to you but you have posted anonymously and I am forced to write this in the forums.

I follow the ashariiy way on imam shafaiy if you know who they are.

Good for you :D I too follow the same madhab but I dont go around making takfeer of Muslims. If your intention is to guide the youth I dont think the way you are going about it is the right way. Also know that many of the youth are new to Islam so they dont even know what you are going on about. For the sake of not confusing the youth could you please stop your posts on this topic.
