Salam W Alaikum,

I thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread, in which I will post links to resources which will be useful to any students interested in tertiary studies. I will post things on, university admissions, UAC information, scholarships and others. If there is anything that you need to know about, just leave a post and insh'Allah I will post whatever materials I have.

Wssalams,
Fatima.

The following newsletter is useful to year 12 students, thinking about entering university. It has been released by the UAC centre, for careers advisors. But it is very useful for students too. Take a look at it, and highlight the key points which might be of some interest to you.

It'd be very good if you dedicate a box for careers newsletters, which you can refer to at any stage of year 12.

HSC PREPARATION COURSES
PREPARE IN ADVANCE & RELIEVE STRESS

Be prepared. Relieve stress. Gain confidence.

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the University of Sydney offers an extensive HSC Preparation program in some of the most popular and competitive subjects and topics, including Economics, English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Plus we offer a range of complementary study skills courses for HSC students to help maximise their HSC results. Taught by experienced and practising senior HSC teachers with hands on knowledge of the HSC syllabus, assessment guidelines and examination procedures, these courses are designed to give students the invaluable knowledge and skills necessary to make their HSC studies effective and successful, and boost HSC results.

Content taught is highly relevant, and designed to be transferrable to any individual HSC elective or module, as well as being specific to essential syllabus and assessment requirements. Individual courses can be grouped into a progressive three part program scheduled within each holiday period, allowing students to pace themselves throughout the year, prepare for HSC key dates and check in with our experienced teachers along the way.

Subjects include:

HSC Economics
HSC English (ESL, Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, Extension 2)
HSC Mathematics (2 Unit, Extension 1, Extension 2)
HSC Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
