my name is NEBAL..as if that wasn't already obvious:P

Story: too simple! dad had an 'uncle' he was very fond of..so he named me after him..though nebal is a name that can be used for both genders:)

Meaning: the arrows used in archery..

Do i find the name fits me? Most certainly..since arrows are 'always on target...though sometimes they miss.."..and that kinda describes meself:D

well my full name is Ibrahim Al-Luhaidan Hijaz, my mum and dad named me Ibrahim Because my father Loved the story of how Ibrahim (AS) wasnt hurt from the fire he was thrown in but it burnt the ties that had been tied on him, and the meaning.. dont think it has a meaning!

anyways.. after i was born and yeah.. dad was with mum reciting Qur'an..

and when dad got to surat al-insaan ayah 18 (where my name is =P) mum liked it, and then yeah they named me salsabila /smile

meaning: a fountain in Jannah

i didn't like my name before because no one would call me by it because they couldn't remember it.. but now i love my name and i wouldn't change it EVERRR..

even though now still people need to use different names on me.. i've got about 15 nicknames in use at the moment :rolleyes:

though i don't see why its so hard.. salsa and then bila - salsabila /smile

my ones similar to salsabila's.
my dad was reading Quraan, and when i was born, he had just started surah al-mumtahinah, and thats how i got my name.
and my name means the woman to be examined.
i love my name, not many people have it :) and it is awesome :D

these days, people name thier children if its popular or if its nice, u hardly get anyone named after the prophets or companions or from the quran.

everyone these days names their kiddies Muhammad.. i bet everyone here can think of 5 Muhammads at least in less than 5 seconds =P

i like the way my 3rd sister was named.. dad was near the end of a khatam in Ramadan when she was born.. when the nurse came in and said my mum had a baby girl, dad had just finished reading ayah 2 of Surah al-Bayyinah.. and thats how she got her name.. Mutahhara /smile

My little brother's name is Ibrahim. And it has a beautifullll meaning, subhanAllah, it means "father of many" :)

my name doesn't really have a story behind it. All I know is that my mum really wanted one of her daughters 2 be named noura...and then my dad said we should name her (some beautiful name i have forgotten whats it was) and then my mum said no.

i can make up a more interesting story if you want....
