Me and my sister dont get along

Im the oldest girl in my family and i have a sister who doesnt respect me at all, we fight over little things and its stupid, and whenever shes angry there are times where she says to me, i hope you die, or i hope you go to hell and when she says it, it really hurts me deeply cause i have heard that you have to be careful of what you say since the angels may hear you and say ameen and im scared it might come true. She says she hates me the most in my family and it hurts me.
However there are times where we get along really well, but i just wished this could last for ever not a for a period of time only. Another thing which i havent mention earlier, there are times where its my fault cause i say names which she doesnt like and it leads to a fight. I know i shouldnt be saying these sayings to her, but its hard cause she can be annoying at times.


Could you please give me some advise on how to get along with her and i really want her to stop saying those bad things to me.

Dear respected sister

To begin with I would like to congratulate you on being honest with your self and not placing the whole blame on your sister, for example when you stated that some times you call her names etc which sparks a fight , if anything it shows that you really want a solution to this issue.

You being the older sister, we trust that you would use your wisdom and ager difference to make a positive impact on your sister and that you would be able to influence her in the right direction insha Allah.

To get closer to her and get her closer to you try befriending her! no matter how young she is, im sure there is something you can tell her about your life, and give her the chance to tell you about her life, be there for each other, by her gifts, take her out, give her advice, if she needs some one to stand up for her and be there for her let it be you.

As well as you have to be patient on her, when she is annoying dont call hert names, first of all becuase its against our beloved religion and you may get sins for it, but also because it will lead to her saying even worse things to you.

With her comments that she says that she wishes that you die etc I really dont think she means any of it, its just that sometimes when people are emotional they can say things which they would regret later, so dont let those words upset you.

One of the main things you should do is ask Allah swt to make things easy between you two, and make do3aa for her.

Why don't you go out spend some time together shopping go even coffee where you both can enjoy each others company and talk to her ask her whats going on? is there anything wrong? show her you care about her.

Me and my sisters would always fight we are sisters thats what we do fight but we get over it.

sis, you need to set the example for your younger sister. If you show her respect and dont call her names that you know she hates eventually she will stop annoying you too. you should also apologies for all the names you called her to show ur an example of good manners but no matter what she does, dont go back to calling her names.
