I saw yesterday a news update which told of how Oregon state in America is banning the hijab in public institutes and workplaces. So teachers won't be able to wear the hijab as they teach etc. Sort of a similar ruling to Turkey. This is such a shame. And as the article said, a complete contradiction to what Obama said when he gave his speech in Egypt: "Freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one's religion." The bill has been passed by the Oregon state legislature and according to asiaone News the governor "has said he will sign it."
